The Fontaine Family

If I could choose just one recent session that represents who I am and where I’m headed as a photographer, this is the one. It didn’t go exactly as planned (thanks to the wet weather and travel delays), and yet it worked out perfectly. There isn’t a single thing I would change about these photos or the time I spent with the Fontaine Family. The goal was to create something authentic and we did just that. There was laughter and tears and all the good (and challenging) stuff that comes with a busy family of 6! When I look at these photos I see so much love and happiness. Not the put on your best clothes, smile (and behave!) for the camera kind, but the everyday kind. The silly looks between sisters, the constant motion of toddlers, mom and dad juggling it all while trying to soak it in and enjoy it too. It’s a day in the life of a beautiful, ever-evolving family.

Lisa, Doug, Olive + Bijou, it was so awesome to be with you again! I can’t believe how much has changed (and stayed the same!) since I saw you all last. Can you believe it’s been almost 10 years since you first welcomed me into your lives?! Crazy!

Eero + Wilder, I’m so happy to have finally met you! Let’s hang out again soon, okay? xo

Erin. This is so, so perfect. I am in love.
I think you hit the nail on the head- it’s the every day moments, the “behind the scenes” that are the best and truest memories. They will treasure these photos.
If this is the direction you’re going then I say “full steam ahead”!!

Love these sort of at home shoots. THIS is what photography should be. Capturing life as it is, but in a beautiful way!
